Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your prices slightly lower than most other Garden Centers in Wisconsin?

Lower overhead is the biggest factor.  We don't have a Retail Garden Center that we have to staff and pay for.  If you want to see our trees let us know and we can make an appointment to give you a personalized tour.  Since we save on the costs of a Retail Center - we invest in other areas; such as Quality.  If you can live without the Traditional Shopping Experience you will find that you get a lot more for your money by using us for your landscaping and tree needs.

Will I be able to see the trees before I order them?

Yes!  However, Please keep in mind that one of the reasons that we can maintain slightly lower prices and give you a much higher level of Quality and Customer Service is because we don't have the costs of Running and Staffing a retail garden center.

So we kindly ask, if you would like to take a tour of the Tree Nursery that you have previously done your research and price comparisons prior to making an appointment and use the tour of the tree nursery as confirmation to view first hand the quality that you have seen in the pictures.

I can tell you that we will do our very best to pick the nicest tree from our current selection based on our knowledge of trees and your personal preference.

What are my Warranty Options?

There are warranty options; a Full 2 Year Warranty or an 18-Month - 1/2 the Replacement Cost.

Mulching, Staking, Watering & Applying a Root Stimulator are essential steps that need to be taken for every newly planted tree.  If we are fully involved in this process, we then know that this was done and it was done correctly.  In this case we will provide a Full 2 Year Warranty.  However, you are still responsible for making sure the tree has adequate water.

If you are more of the hands on type and would like to handle Mulching, Staking, or Applying the Root Stimulator; we then found that it has worked best provide a 18-Month Warranty for 1/2 the replacement cost of the tree.  We find this works best for us and our customers because it allows us to keep our prices down and both parties have vested interest in making sure the tree lives.

Can you get trees that are not listed on your website?

We have contracts with many wholesale nurseries and growers who only deal with contractors and garden centers, so yes!  In almost all cases we can find what you are looking for and probably save you time and money.

What is the largest tree you can get?

The largest tree that can effectively be transplanted is a 8-9 inch diameter deciduous tree or a 25' evergreen.

I think I can plant the tree myself, about how much does the average tree weigh?

Most of our balled and burlapped trees weigh from 700lbs - 2,000lbs.  That is a lot of weight and in most cases is nearly impossible to move without the proper equipment.

Will your equipment damage my lawn?

Although we try our hardest to minimize turf damage you can expect some damage from the equipment.  The larger the equipment is that we have to use, the more damage that is likely to occur.  We will go over in detail what the likelihood of turf damage is before we bring any machinery on your lawn.  Although we will do our best to minimize the damages, under no circumstances will Tree Transplanters, llc or any of it's sub-contractors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any damages to your lawn.  If your lawn is a concern let us know and we can take extra precautions to even further reduce the chance of damage.
